This is a blog about names. Sometimes I'll be talking about people's names. Sometimes I'll be talking about common words. Sometimes I will go deep trying to explore the ethimological meaning of worlds, trying and tracing them to the latin or greek origin. I might engage in long talks to myself about the possible interpretations of acronyms. Also I will be making reference to some proper names that we could actually use. Some of them are just good. ... my random thoughts
I chose to begin with these cause I got a domain name at random and if you pay attention those 4 acronyms are nothing but the 4 possible consecutive groups of 3 letters from the domain name. Here's a brief description of what these acronyms mean.
EMS stands for English Mandarin Shanghai, España Medical, although it could clearly stand for many others things. You know what it's like. English is spoken everywhere, but Mandarin is the language spoken by the most people in the planet. It's the sort of thing you would call a modal language, because if you take a person at random, Mandarin is the language with the highest probability that it will be the person's first language.
MSP stands for Ministerio de Salud Pública in Uruguay and Minneapolis Saint Paul (medical). But it could also mean whatever you want it to mean. It doesn't have to be about some kind of ministry in some random country. The meaning depends on you. It's like what they say about the meaning of things. There is no real meaning. Things just mean whatever it is that they mean to you. There is no truth, it's just what we believe the truth to be. It's in each person's point of view and perspective. It's a bit like that stuff they say about beauty being in the eye of the beholder.

SPL stands for Soccer Portuguese Linguagem (Language), though S is also Systems. It's an interesting blend of English and Portuguese. Once I heard about this guy who wanted to blend Italian and Engilsh. It was more like, take Engilsh, and add some nice italian features. I think he was refering to stuff like word gender and so on. But why in the world would a language that manages to function perfectly alright without having the gender issue want to incorporate it to the list of problems potential learners need to deal with? It's not like it's gonna add any value or anything.
PLC stands for Compañía Pública Limitada; plc systems podria ser un significado alternativo. Compañía is spanish for Company, which comes from spanish Compaña, which in turn comes from latin Cum + Pania. Cum means with and Pania comes from Panis, meaning bread. Publico comes from latin publicus (long middle i) and it means owned and/or known by all. Limitada is the female form or limitado, which comes from the male/basic/neutral form limitado (it's an adjective but it's actually a verboid, as in a past participl... gramatically these form are often interchangeable), which comes from the verb limitar. Limitar in term comes (surprisingly) from Latin Limitare (it's a long a by the way) which means to put a limit to. So in the end the whole thing is talking about puting a limit to the bread owned by everyone. If it doesn't make sense to you, you're probably not that smart.

For Swedish (Sueco, Suedois) we have svenska swedish sueco and sverige sweden suecia. El satelite tiene muchos nombres como lune luna moon. There's stuff like the ming dinasty and vases and the ying yang. Other names: stuff like valdano, vertedor though i cant remember where i heard it. It must have been someone at secondary school. Or should I say high school? heh, it's actually the same thing, isn't it? I stumble upon stuff like that all the time. And I mean literally all the time!

There's also health related stuff like tampon. Partes del cuerpo como brazo y brazos, que vendria a ser el plural. Y ademas gentilicios como calabres y calabresa, que se pueden usar para comida italiana. Calabresa, for example, means Calabrian. Man, is calabrian pizza so great! I love it. It has loads of nice stuff in it, like tomato a pepperoni. It took ages and ages and ages for me to work out (or rather find out, i have to admit) what pepperoni actually meant!
For people named Barbara, a very nice email address (b@) would be possible with the following domains: barbara barbie and barbara barby. Other domains nice for email addresses are mariana, carolina, magdalena, rias - nela. Estos ultimos 2 sirven para muchisimos nombres distintos. Roman numerals: lxix 69, xcix 99. Hay una preposicion importante, segun (según), que sirve para citar.
